How Invisalign works

Clear aligners, mapped to your teeth.

You wear a series of custom-made, removable aligners, each slightly different, that gradually guide your teeth into their ideal position. Most patients move to the next aligner every one to two weeks.

Aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day and taken out for eating, drinking and brushing, so they fit around your life rather than the other way round.

Is Invisalign right for me?

Invisalign can treat crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites and crossbites, from mild cosmetic cases to more complex orthodontic problems. The most important step is a consultation and 3D scan, which shows you and us what is realistically possible for your smile, before any commitment.

Wear your aligners

You progress through a series of custom aligners, roughly one every one to two weeks, checking in with us along the way. Typically six to eighteen months.

Hold your result

Retainers keep your new smile in place for the long term. We provide Vivera retainers made by Invisalign, or custom Essix retainers.

How long does Invisalign take?

Treatment duration varies with complexity, typically between 6 and 18 months. Your projected timeline is discussed at your consultation, once we have scanned your teeth and seen what is involved.

Will Invisalign affect my speech?

Some patients notice a very slight adjustment in speech in the first few days. This resolves quickly as you adapt to wearing the aligners.

What happens after treatment?

Retainers are essential to hold your result long-term. We provide Vivera retainers made by Invisalign, or custom Essix retainers, and review them with you at the clinic.

Is the consultation actually free?

Yes. The 15–30 minute consultation is free and there's no obligation to proceed. You'll come away with a clear understanding of what's possible and an honest price range, even if you decide to look elsewhere.

How does payment work?

You can pay in full, take 0% interest finance over 12 months, or spread costs over up to 60 months at a low APR. £0 deposit options are available. Finance is provided by FCA-authorised UK lenders and is subject to status.
